Here is the second revitalized ADVENTURE COMICS issue starring THE SPECTRE, who performs ghastly but creative deaths on criminals and evil-doers in the hands of writer Michael Fleisher and superb artist Jim Aparo!

In "The Anguish of . . The Spectre!", Jim Corrigan investigates the death of a businessman, before turning into his spectral alter ego, The Spectre, and meting out his special brand of gruesome justice on those responsible for his death! (The depiction of some of these disturbing deaths was enough to raise an outcry among conservative comics critics!) There is also a bit of hinted-at romance for Corrigan that he puts the brakes on . . . but we shall see what might develop!

The second story, "Night of the Slaves" finds Captain Fear, a Carib Indian who once was a pirate in the south China Seas, captured and sold as a slave to a wealthy plantation-owning woman in the Caribbean. He finds a way to fight his way to freedom . . but the story will be continued. As told by Mr. Fleisher again, with distinctive art by Alex Nino!

If you like Jim Aparo's art as much as I do, this one is a gem! It's in great shape for being 47 years old, with a strong binding and no visible faults or blemishes. We grade it a solid 7.0 FN/VF. Overstreet values it at $16 . . . but we're pricing it at $10 . . with our always-L•O•W shipping!
