The story of when SUPERBOY first met his cousin Kara Zor-El - the future SUPERGIRL - in the adrift-in-space Argo City is a real highlight of this issue . . . but that's just the back-up story in this 1968 issue of ACTION COMICS with a cover by Neal Adams!

The cover story, "Superman . . Guilty of Homicide!", by Leo Dorfman and Curt Swan, tells the tale of Ron Noble, the secret head of the International Crime Exchange, who plots to fake his own death to frame Superman for accidental homicide in a boxing exhibition. But his colleague Dr. Frost arranges it so that Noble is truly killed so that Frost himself can take over.

The real entertainment comes with "Superboy in Argo City", written by Cary Bates and drawn by Jim Mooney - in his final work for the title he illustrated for 8 straight years! In the story, Superboy, while fashioning a jewel from a diamond asteroid, is accidentally swept up by a space-probe belonging to his uncle Zor-El and taken to Argo City. There he meets young Kara, his cousin, but an attack by aliens and his heroic sacrifice to save Argo City causes everyone to later forget that the meeting ever took place . . . but in a short epilogue set years later, SUPERGIRL shows the jewel she got as a girl to SUPERMAN - who actually remembers carving it from an asteroid years ago, but neither can figure out how it got to Argo City!! (but WE can!)
