Here's a treasure Chest of FLASH stories from the early 1960s - including the seminal DC tale that set the stage for the Golden Age DC heroes to return as denizen's of 'EARTH 1' = "Flash of Two Worlds!"

And that's just one of FIVE stories in this 80 Page Giant that pit The FLASH against some of his top foes, including the debut appearances of several of them!

The issue leads off with "Flash of Two Worlds", by Gardner Fox and Carmine Infantino, wherein The FLASH disappears while giving an exhibition of his super speed and finds that he has inadvertently vibrated into the Earth of another dimension which seems to be a near copy of his own world. There, he meets the Flash of that world, Jay Garrick, and the stage is set for decades of adventures with the Earth One superheroes and villains!

In "The Pied Piper of Peril", FLASH encountersThe Pied Piper - a bizarre super villain who utilizes sound as a weapon of crime.

On "The Man Who Changed The Earth", from 1956, tells of Mr. Element, Al Desmond, nearly defeating the Scarlet Speedster with his mastery of elements. But newly armed with his "philosopher's stone," he re-emerges as Dr. Alchemy!

Petty crook, "Digger" Harkness becomes Captain Boomerang in order to publicize the Wiggins Game Company's new product He does however, have his own plans - as a super criminal - and that leads him into the fray with the FLASH, in "Here Comes Captain Boomerang" - his debut - from December of 1960 in FLASH #117.

And you get the second-ever appearance of Gorilla Grodd in "The Super-Gorilla's Secret Identity!" from 1959, wherein Grodd uses his evolution-accelerator to change into a human being - Drew Drowden, who then plots to rule the world!

This is a great copy of 80 Page Giant #9 - with a strong binding, a square spine, and very little toning for a 57-year old comic. There are a couple of small discoloration spots on the covers, but the interior pages are nearly flawless. We conservatively grade this copy at 8.0 VF, for which Overstreet thinks you will pay $82. We think you'd rather pay $65 - especially if you are a FLASH Fan who loves a good bargain!
