AMALGAM COMICS was a clever and creative undertaking shared by DC Comics and Marvel Comics, in which the two comic book publishers merged their characters into new ones (e.g., DC Comics' Batman and Marvel Comics' Wolverine became the Amalgam character Dark Claw). These characters first appeared in a series of 12 comic books which were published in April 1996, between issues #3-4 of the "DC vs. Marvel" miniseries. A second set of 12 comic books followed one year later in June 1997.

In 'Legends of the Dark Claw' #1 Dark Claw, Sparrow, and Huntress save the President from the madman Hyena.

In 'Super Soldier' #1, Super Soldier finally defeats Luthor and Ultra Metallo.

And in 'Doctor Strange Fate' #1, Dr. Strangefate sends his agents to capture Access in order to maintain the Amalgam universe.

Artists represented are Jim Balent, Dave Gibbons and Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez - 3 of the best!!
