Here's a largely-forgotten chapter from Jack Kirby's brief tenure at DC Comics - an issue of DC's 1st ISSUE SPECIAL (which spotlighted one-off stories, hoping that one might garner enough interest to turn into a series) featuring Kirby's new spin on the genre of 'kid groups' in the spirit of his earlier successes, 'The Newsboy Legion' and 'Boy Commandos'.

In the three-part story titled "DINGBATS OF DANGER STREET", we meet the four pals - 'Good Looks', 'Non-Fat', 'Krunch' and 'Bananas' - who are considered odd outcasts by their families and friends, and have a penchant for trouble!  In this rollicking tale, they tangle with the villains 'Gasser' and 'Jumpin Jack', and almost by accident stop them cold with the help of Police Lieutenant Terry Mullins!

This is a great-looking copy of one of Kirby's lesser-known creations while at DC in the early 1970s. The binding is strong, the pages are supple and bright, there are no splits, tears, separations, or pieces missing - a terrific part of any Kirby collection!  Overstreet values this issue in this 8.0 VF condition at $16 . . . but we're offering it for just $11, along with our always-L•O•W shipping!
