The mego company, popular during the 70s and 80s, was the first company to license intellectual properties into action figures. Marvel characters, dc characters, star trek, tarzan, and conan the barbarian all fell under the mego banner then, during the 80s, it was forced to close its line, making their line of action figures a collectible commodity.
1976 rare mego muhammad ali action figure with trigger punching action in the original carton. Ali action figure is still sealed in plastic sheathe as is its accessories consisting of head gear, robe, and boxing gloves while championship belt adorns figure's waist. Punching mechanism stored in banner tray. Carton shows signs of wear(dilapidated ear marks in one corner)
