Issue Description
January 19th 1984-Congressman Jason Bloch is visited by Mr. Smith, who encourages him to cease his attacks on Ferris Air, but Jason refuses blaming Ferris Air and it protector Green Lantern for his father's death. After Mr. Smith leaves, the congressman reveals that he was behind Javelin's attack on Ferris Air and that he has discovered that Green Lantern's true identity is Hal Jordan.
Meanwhile, in the apartment of Hal and Carol, Hal Jordan learns that the Flash is on trial for murder, and after recharging his ring he flies off to talk to his friend, unaware that the Shark is stalking the streets of LA, killing homeless people, looking for Green Lantern.
Elsewhere, Barry Allen, as the Flash, battles the Rainbow Raider, but when the Raider uses his powers on a crowd of people, it looks like the villain may get away. That is until the Green Lantern shows up and traps him with a green stop sign construct. Then, after turning the Raider over to the police, Green Lantern and Flash talk about Barry's trail. Hal trusts his friend had no other way of stopping Reverse Flash, but murder still sits strange with him. The two part way and Green Lantern starts flying home to have lunch with Carol.
Meanwhile at S.T.A.R. Labs, Clay Kendall and his team test his latest machine, the Psi-chair, a devise that amplefies the normal's person mental capablities. But instead of it's intended outcome the test sends out a beacon to the Shark who makes a bee-line for the lab. Once inside the Shark starts killing workers and eating their minds.
These actions bring the attention of the LAPD and then Green Lantern. Green Lantern upon hearing its the Shark inside asks the LAPD to hang back. They agree and Green Lantern rushes inside where he is just in time to save a scientist from being the Shark's meal. The Shark and Green Lantern battle and soon are fighting in the streets outside. It looks like the green Lantern has the upper hand but a random newspaper flies into his face give the Shark the opportunity to steal some of Green Lantern's mind power knocking the Emerald Knight unconscious.
The Shark is going to eat the Green Lantern's body but suddenly gets a headache is flees, leaving the Green Lantern unconscious and beaten.

Promo by Dave GibbonsContinued from Green Lantern Volume 2.1 and continued the numbering starting at #90 and ended at issue #205, where the series continued as The Green Lantern Corps.
Volume 2.2 saw several name changes, starting out being called Green Lantern Co-Starring Green Arrow, which lasted to Issue #122. The series then changed its title to Green Lantern, which lasted up to issue #200. Then the series changed its title again to The Green Lantern Corps, which lasted five issue before the series became officially The Green Lantern Corps Volume 1.
Volume 2.2 started with Hal Jordan as the Green Lantern of Earth, but during the series Hal quit the Corps and John Stewart took over the mantel. Later Guy Gardner took the name Green Lantern near the end of the volume.
