The Avengers watch as Silverclaw's mother, the goddess Peliali is assaulted by bird-men, and are in turn assaulted. They cannot reach her in time, and the bird-men flee with her. The army arrives and the team splits up, with Wasp and Iron Man talking with the army as everyone else enters the city, with a myserious figure following them. They are attacked and defeated at a bar where their identities were revealed.
